My approach to counseling is integrative in nature. I believe in tailoring my approach to fit the needs of each individual client I work with. Just like any two medications may work differently for two different people, some therapeutic techniques are more effective for some people than others. By bringing together and blending multiple approaches, I aim to be able to offer effective treatment to anyone. Primarily, my approach is person-centered, but I also incorporate mindfulness, strengths based, motivational interviewing, Cognitive-Behavioral therapy, and other therapies as needed for each client’s unique needs. Empowering clients to overcome their struggles and assist them in finding the tools that work for them in their journey is my passion.

I am also open to incorporating faith-based counseling into treatment for those who wish to do so. You are the expert on your care and I am here to support you in that. My main job is to hold space for you as you take the first step towards healing and change. The most important aspect of counseling to me is the relationship and rapport between client and therapist. I believe in creating a safe, welcoming space for clients to process their emotions and begin to work through and heal from their pain.

Born and raised in Athens, I am excited to give back to my hometown by serving my clients to the best of my ability! I attended Athens State University for my undergraduate education, where I earned a Bachelors degree in Psychology in 2020. From there, I went on to UNA to pursue a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling so that I could apply my knowledge and passion for psychology in service to others. Outside of counseling, I enjoy spending time with my husband and three pets- one dog (Freya) and two cats (Sterling and Jasmine). I'm an avid reader, local restaurant connoisseur, and traveler who finds joy in attending church, watching movies, bowling, and spending quality time with the people close to me. I look forward to meeting you!
