Frequently Asked Questions
Therapy is for anyone and everyone who is willing to participate, not only people with severe or diagnosed mental illness. Due to the personal nature of therapy, we can't say if therapy is right for you. If you feel anxious or depressed, have experienced trauma or loss, or if you feel the need to make changes in your life in order to be the best you, we can help with that.
The first session, also called the "Intake" session, is where you will first sit down and talk with your therapist. During this hour, you and your therapist will begin getting to know one another. You can ask any questions about the ins and outs of therapy, and they will have questions for you, such as what issues you want to target in your therapy or what goals you have. You will likely identify some goals, and the two of you will start to build a treatment plan that will inform your later sessions.
