About Foundations Counseling Center

Founded in 2011 by Nancy McDonald, Foundations Counseling Center was created to serve the needs of the Athens-Limestone community with therapy, education, and social support. With 30+ years of combined experience, our devoted team of therapists provides effective behavioral and mental health services to residents throughout Limestone County.

Our services include individual, family, and group counseling in a safe, comfortable, and accessible environment.

Your emotional and mental well-being is an essential part of your overall health, and our goal is to help you build the strong foundation necessary for living the happy, healthy life you deserve.

Rates/Insurance

We do our best to make therapy accessible. Seeking help in a vulnerable part of one's life should not present an overwhelming financial burden. We offer counseling and therapy at affordable rates, starting at $65 per one-hour session with our limited licensed professionals. Private pay sessions with our fully licensed professionals are based on a sliding scale fee model, with one-hour sessions ranging from $100 to $150. Our sliding scale is based on household income. Intake sessions may incur an additional one-time paperwork and establishment fee.
