Welcome! I’m Sarah K. Gilbert, a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, Supervisor, and Private Independent Practitioner. Since earning my Master’s in Social Work in 2006, I have dedicated my career to supporting children, teens, and parents as they navigate life’s complexities.
My extensive background in child and family services gives me a grounded, comprehensive view of the practical pressures modern families face. In my clinical counseling practice, I specialize in helping clients work through anxiety, grief, and major life transitions.
I utilize systems theory and a life course perspective in my work. This means we don't look at challenges in isolation; instead, we examine how your environment, family dynamics, and personal history shape your current experience. Whether working with a young child, a teenager, or a parent, my goal is to provide a steady, supportive, and collaborative space to process loss, manage anxiety, and foster meaningful resilience.
In addition to direct client care and evaluation services, I provide clinical supervision (LICSW-S) to mentor and support the next generation of mental health professionals.
