Hello! My name is Alexsis "Allee" Casteel and I am a licensed independent clinical social worker (LICSW) in Alabama. I see clients at Foundation's downtown Athens office and through telehealth. Prior to my time with Foundations, I worked with Alabama DHR's Adult Protective Services. In that role, I developed a strong passion for helping older adults and their families work through difficult times. In my new role as a therapist, I work with individuals and families of all ages.

The most important thing to me is that my clients get what they seek out of therapy. My style in therapy is warm, direct and client centered. I take an upbeat and direct approach to help my clients clearly outline their goals, make a plan to achieve them, and help them to see their goals through. I commonly use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) techniques to help my clients work through issues.
